整體消除絕對貧困現象

打好精準脫貧攻堅戰是中共十九大提出的三大攻堅戰之一。中共十八屆五中全會從實現全面建成小康社會奮斗目標出發，明確了到2020年國家現行標準下農村貧困人口實現脫貧，貧困縣全部摘帽，解決區域性整體貧困。由此，到2020年國家現行標準下農村貧困人口實現脫貧，成為中國共產黨對中國人民作出的莊嚴承諾。屆時，中華民族在幾千年發展史上，將首次整體消除絕對貧困現象。這對中華民族、對整個人類都具有重大意義。

Eliminating Absolute Poverty

Poverty elimination is one of the three critical battles the CPC vowed to win at its 19th National Congress. The goals were specified at the fifth plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee in October 2015: to raise out of poverty all those living below the current poverty line, to lift all poor counties out of poverty, and eliminate overall regional poverty, all by the year 2020.

To raise all those living under the current poverty line out of poverty by 2020 - this is a solemn promise made by the CPC. At this point the Chinese nation will have eliminated absolute poverty for the first time in its history. This will be significant to China and to the whole of humanity.
