Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)'s demands on Iran are beyond its regulations, the official IRNA news agency reported on Thursday.

On Monday, an IAEA report said Iran had been continuing its uranium enrichment activities despite UN sanctions, and called for Iran to cooperate more with the IAEA to clarify the intent of its nuclear program, including providing access to all sites, equipment, persons and documents requested by the agency.

So far, Iran has even cooperated more than its commitments and the reached agreements, but IAEA demands are "far beyond the entire regulations," Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying.

"These moves are politically motivated and done under the pressure of some states," he told IRNA on Wednesday.

"The agency's chief (Yukiya Amano) makes certain claims against our country under the pressure of the U.S. administration, without presenting any proof. Therefore, such claims are merely regarded as political, and are devoid of any legal base," he said.

On Wednesday, Iranian ambassador to the agency Ali-Asghar Soltaniyeh said IAEA's latest demands on Iran were beyond the country's nuclear commitments.

"The demands and expectations in IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano's latest report are beyond Iran's commitments and responsibilities in accordance with the Non-Proliferation Treaty ( NPT)," Soltaniyeh told IRNA after attending the technical justification session of IAEA.
