A kindergarten teacher in Xiamen handed out wedding invitations to her students in an apparent bid to solicit wedding gifts from their parents, the Xiamen Evening News reported.
According to a post by an unnamed internet user, the kids received wedding invitations from their teacher with their name on them. The teacher also gave the kid a package of candies and asked them to tell their parents about the upcoming ceremony.
Mr. Huang, the director of the Educational Affairs Service Center in Huli District, where the kindergarten is located, said the teacher is not allowed to issue such invitations unless she has a personal relationship with the children's parents.
The education department will look into the matter and ask the teacher to return any gifts given by students' parents, he said.
