???????China shows no signs of a double-dip, "but now that there is flexibility in the yuan, the exchange rate of the currency will decline if it becomes necessary to support exports," Zhou Qiren, a member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the People's Bank of China (PBC), told Asahi Shimbun.

???????文中的double dip就是指“二次探底”，也稱為double dip recession（雙谷衰退）。在經(jīng)濟(jì)衰退之后，如果出現(xiàn)持續(xù)性復(fù)蘇，則稱為V型反彈或者U型復(fù)蘇，而如果經(jīng)濟(jì)衰退出現(xiàn)反復(fù)，則被稱為W型震蕩，也就是double dip。但如果經(jīng)濟(jì)陷入困境，則被稱為L型停滯。

???????上面幾種復(fù)蘇走勢中，經(jīng)濟(jì)衰退出現(xiàn)最低點(diǎn)，則被稱為“筑底”。這里的“底”也就是dip。Dip通常指暫時(shí)的“減少、下降、衰退”，或者“凹陷處，低洼處”。

???????此外，double-dip還可以用來指“雙份蛋卷冰淇淋”，或者“（從不同地方）雙重支薪，尤指政府雇員同時(shí)支領(lǐng)退伍軍人薪餉者。”
