Scraping the plan to spread out the anti-government rallies to other key state places and having remained at the Government House have been aimed at preventing the Prime Minister and the cabinet members from entering into the Government House, said Nattawut.

"This mass rally is aimed to topple the coalition government. If the Prime Minister and the cabinet members still attempt to enter into the Government House, we are ready to chase them at every entry point," said Nattawut.

The UDD-led protesters have vowed to prolong their rally in front of the Government House until the government dissolves the House of Representatives and holds a new general election, which is their top political demand.

Other political demands of the red-shirted protesters include removing Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya, prosecuting People's Alliance for Democracy's leaders for occupying the Government House and Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports, and amending the 2007 Constitution.

Prime Minister Abhisit reiterated on Friday morning that the security authorities would be able to control the anti-government rally and it will not affect the government.

The red-shirted protesters will not be able to pressure him to resign as the Prime Minister, Abhisit said.
