Shanghai Airlines Paid for Music Use

The Shanghai Airlines has recently reached an agreement to pay 90,000 yuan (US$10,883) for one-year use of the background music on all its flights, the Shanghai Evening Post reported yesterday.

The other party of the agreement is the Music Copyright Society of China, an organization authorized by the National Copyright Administration to protect audio intellectual properties in the country.

The other three airlines, theAir China, the Eastern Airlines and the Southern Airlines, are also reportedly in talks with the administration over the music copyright.
