A delegation of regional foreign ministers arrived in the Gaza Strip for a solidarity visit Tuesday, as Israeli aerial offensive enters its seventh day.

Nabil Al-Arabi, chief of the Arab League (AL), headed the delegation, which comprised 13 Arab foreign ministers and their Turkish counterpart.

Ziad al-Zaza, deputy of Hamas' Prime Minister Ismail Haneya, received the delegation at Rafah crossing point between Gaza and Egypt. A representative of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah party, Nabil Shaath, also took part in the welcoming ceremonies.

Hamas took over Gaza by force in 2007 after routing pro-Abbas forces.

The delegation will stay for a few hours, visiting al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City.

On the seventh day of the Israeli operation, the death toll in the Palestinian side has hit 115 while more than 800 people were wounded.

The visit of the delegation comes amid intensive regional efforts to broker a cease-fire.

According to Egypt's official MENA news agency, which quoted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi, the Israeli aggression on Gaza will end on Tuesday, and efforts on a truce between Israel and Gaza will have positive results within hours. Endi
