Li attends meeting on China-Russia trade, investment

Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang attended a meeting on China-Russia trade and investment?in Moscow?on Saturday, as part of the two countries' efforts to further expand their trade and economic cooperation.

Before the meeting, Li also met with entrepreneurs from both countries and attended a signing ceremony of bilateral trade and economic agreements.

Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov also attended the meeting.

During his talks with Russian Prime Minister and President-elect Vladimir Putin on Friday, Li noted that economic and trade cooperation is an important cornerstone for Sino-Russian comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination and also gives an impetus to bilateral relations.

He also urged both sides to increase pragmatic cooperation in all spheres to boost mutual development so as to benefit both peoples.

China is the top trade partner of Russia. Bilateral trade volume reached 79.25 billion U.S. dollars in 2011, up 42.7 percent year-on-year.
