Head of the opposition Syrian National Coalition (SNC), Ahmed al-Jarba, urged on Sunday the Arab foreign ministers to back military operation against Syria, Xinhua reporter reported from the Arab League (AL) headquarters.

"I'm appealing your humanitarian sentiments and asking you to back the international operation against the Syrian regime's destructive war machine," al-Jarba said at a meeting of AL foreign ministers in Cairo.

He urged the Arab countries to support the U.S. strike on Syria for its alleged use of chemical weapons against civilians in Damascus.

Meanwhile, al-Jarba asked the Arab countries to take firm procedures to support the international military operation "to stop the massacres in his country."
