Chinese President Hu Jintao met a group of U.S. business representatives in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Thursday to discuss expansion of China-U.S. trade cooperation.

President Hu was expected to exchange views with the business representatives on the China-U.S. trade ties.
The Chinese leader was also expected to encourage the U.S. business sector to play a role in promoting China-U.S. trade cooperation and developing bilateral ties.
Hu arrived in Honolulu earlier in the day for the Economic Leaders Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
At the annual meeting, leaders of the 21-member grouping will exchange views on economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region, strengthening regional economic integration and expanding trade.
They also are to discuss promoting green growth and fostering job creation in green industries, energy security, and expanding regulatory cooperation.
