South Korea, China and Japan will hold the fifth round of meeting next week over their joint feasibility study on a three-way free trade agreement, South Korean foreign ministry said Thursday.

During the two-day meeting starting next Monday in Kitakyushu, Japan, the three Asian powerhouses will discuss a draft of the joint report on service and investment.

A series of working-level meetings over trade regulations, customs procedures, sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) barriers and Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) will also be held, according to the ministry.

The three countries launched the joint project last year. Seoul had been in talks with Tokyo over a separate bilateral trade accord, but negotiations made little progress due to their differences over tariff issues.
