France, the new G20 president, is reported to be hosting financial ministers and heads of G20 central banks next February in Paris, local media quoted sources from the economy ministry as saying on Wednesday.

The meeting is scheduled for Feb. 18 and 19, and on the eve of the meeting financial representatives would gather in Paris for a preparatory meeting, local media reported.

France took over G20 presidency after the Seoul summit that ended last week. Its term will last till November 2011, when the main G20 summit will be held in Cannes, southern France.

In his first live TV interview after the government reshuffle on Tuesday, French President Nicolas Sarkozy pinned his main G20 mission on global monetary system reforms, enhancing global governance and stabilizing prices of raw materials.

On a Wednesday cabinet meeting, he reaffirmed that to organize a success G20 summit is one of the government's top priorities in his remaining 18-month mandate.
