Iran to unveil new nuclear achievements
January-15-2011

Iran will unveil two new nuclear products in its Arak Heavy Water establishments in central Iran on Saturday, the semi-official Mehr news agency reported Friday.

According to the report, the tour of the invited foreign officials and diplomats to Iranian nuclear sites will start on Saturday and acting Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi will accompany the guests.

"In the presence of the foreign guests, two new nuclear achievements of Iran in Arak Heavy Water establishments will be unveiled," Mehr said.

"The foreign guests will also visit the nuclear enrichment facilities of Natanz (in central Iran)," the report said, adding that the foreign officials will stay in Iran until Monday.

On Jan. 4, the media reported that Iran has invited ambassadors of Russia, China, the European Union and its allies among the Arab and the developing world to visit its nuclear sites ahead of the Istanbul talks slated for late January on Iran's nuclear issues between world major powers and Tehran.

The EU foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton, however, turned down Tehran's invitation, saying that it was IAEA's function to inspect the Iranian nuclear facilities.
