At least 32 people are dead after a gas explosion at a coal mine in the city of Chifeng in northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on Saturday.

32 killed, 149 rescued after gas explosion in N. China

149 people have been rescued. The municipal government of Chifeng has dispatched hundreds of police officers and medical staff to the site. A base for rescue operations has been established and authorities are reaching out to the families of the victims.
