More than 200 people injured in the accident have been sent to the five hospitals in the city of Wenzhou.

The city's emergency rescue command center has also sent more than 50 ambulances to the crash site. Staff at the hospitals are working overtime to treat the injured and have set up an emergency response to provide sufficient medicine. Most of the the wounded are not in a critical condition, but some have internal bleeding caused by the trauma, as well as bone fractures.

Immediately after the accident, Zhejiang provincial department of health sent four medical teams to the scene, and cancelled hospital staff leave.
