The mascots for Euro 2012, which will be held in Poland and Ukraine, were unveiled at a ceremony at Warsaw's Polish Theatre on Tuesday.

The identical twin brothers were dressed in the football kits of Poland and Ukraine, with hair in the colors of their nations' flags. As yet UEFA have yet to name the two mascots and are still seeking names for the pair. Like many mascots before them, they will be a vital part of the Euro 2012 marketing push during the 18-month build-up to the 16-team event. Tournament organizers are asking the public to choose between three sets of names for the mascots: Slavek and Slavko; Siemko and Strimko, or Klemek and Ladko. The names will be selected next month. Four cities in Poland and four in Ukraine are to host the championships. Warsaw is to stage the opening match while Kiev gets the final. After this tournament the format will change for the Euro's. The competition will be enlarged from 16 nations to 24 in 2016. Qualification is underway by 51 nations to join the two host nations in the finals.
