Argentina have won the ATP World Team Championship in Dusseldorf for a record-equaling fourth time.

Up against the United States in the final, world number 49 Horacio Zeballos sealed victory for Argentina by defeating Robby Ginepri in three sets to hand the South Americans an unassailable 2-0 lead.

In the first singles rubber, Juan Monaco got Argentina off to a winning start by beating American Sam Querrey in three sets. Querrey showed his clay-court prowess by breaking serve three times as he raced to a 6-1 lead.

A court-side pep talk for Monaco seemed to do the trick. He responded by surging to a 4-0 lead and went on to clinch the set 6-2, leveling the match at one-set all.

Breaks were exchanged in the early stages of the decider before Monaco edged ahead for a 5-3 lead. And Monaco went on to break Querrey's serve for the sixth time and seal the first victory for Argentina.

Argentina now looked to last year's ATP Newcomer of the Year, Horacio Zeballos, to seal victory for the team in the second singles rubber. And Zeballos duly broke the serve of his American opponent Robby Ginepri in the opening game - all that was required for Zeballos to take the first set 6-4.

And it was all change in the second set as Zeballos squandered a 3-1 lead and later missed a match point at 6-5 in the tie-break.The 98th-ranked Ginepri kept American hopes alive by forcing a decider.

Neither player was able to break through until the 12th game. This time Zeballos made no mistake, opening up a 40-0 lead on Ginepri's serve before finally converting match point after two hours and 19 minutes on court. Argentina are now the newly crowned ATP World Team champions, and have now won the prestigious event four times.
