As companies around the world slash jobs, China is working to help college students find employment during this global financial crisis. The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security has launched a nationwide job search campaign.
The two-week nationwide job fair and online recruitment campaign will offer more than half a million jobs for college graduates.
Statistics show that about six million students will graduate from college next year. And some 800,000 of this year's graduates are still awaiting job offers.
To help them, government departments will provide consultations on job-hunting, and give guidance and training to graduates who choose to start their own businesses. A database of unemployed graduates will also be established.
Si Yilei, Director of National Center for Hhuman Resources said "Relevant departments will also share employment information and resources. We will team up to make things more convenient for graduates."
