Three scholars from Qingdao universities have been listed as academicians of the China Academy of Engineering on Nov. 27.

The China Academy of Engineering selects additional academicians every two year.

In 2017, 67 scholars were elected to the force of China Academy of Engineering academicians, including Li Huajun, deputy president of the Ocean University of China in Qingdao, Bao Zhenmin, dean of college of marine life science at the OUC, and Sun Jinsheng, professor at the school of petroleum engineering at the Qingdao campus of the China University of Petroleum.

Now there are 30 China Academy of Engineering academicians holding permanent positions at Qingdao’s education and research institutions. They work in the areas including electronics, geology, physical oceanography, and marine biology, taking up 70 percent of China Academy of Engineering academicians exploring marine sciences.
