Guangzhou International Travel Fair 2009 will open in the Guangzhou Jinhan Exhibition Center from March 26-29.
Lasting four days (up one day from last year), GITF 2009 will be open the trade visitors on March 26-27 and to the public on March 28-29. Exhibitors will also have an extra day to construct their stands (from March 23 to 25). GITF 2009 is expected to cover 15,000 square meters, accommodating 460 exhibitors of which 45% will be from overseas.
With the rapid development of the domestic economy in recent years, Chinese tourism industry is booming. According to the National Tourism Administration, China has one of the highest potentials and fastest growth in outbound tourism market, and Guangdong ranks both as one of the most important tourism destinations and visitors sources in China.
From 2009, Spanish Feria de Madrid, the largest exhibition company in Spain, will work as a co-organizer of GITF with Hannover Fairs Shanghai. China Hospitality News will be present at GITF 2009 as media sponsor for the event.
