The universities and colleges in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region have established cooperative relations with over 60 institutes of higher learning in 40 more countries and regions, according to the Education Department of Ningxia on July 13.
The Ningxia University, Ningxia Medical University and Beifang University of Nationalities have conducted academic exchanges with research institutes in US, Japan, Russia and Sudan. In 2014, over 150 teachers went abroad to attend international academic conferences and take part in scientific and research cooperation and nearly 70 foreign specialists came to Ningxia to give lectures.
Some 72 foreign experts and teachers have found positions at universities in Ningxia since last year, among which 40 more are Arabic teachers. Four universities and one secondary vocational school in Ningxia have received 300 international students since 2014.
