With clear blue skies and cool breezes, fall is the best time of the year to go hiking and appreciate the colorful foliage in Beijing. So, where are the city's best spots to admire the gold and red leaves? 

Here, we've compiled a list of the top 10 places to visit in Beijing during what's dubbed in China as the "golden autumn season."

# Fragrant Hills Park

Situated in the northwestern part of downtown Beijing, the Fragrant Hills Park is made up of hills and forest covering 162 hectares. The area is filled with abundant natural scenery and cultural sites, and the smell of apricot blossom lends the hills an attractive fragrance. The park's forest coverage exceeds 96% with over 5,800 precious trees and other natural resources like mountains and springs. When fall arrives, fiery red leaves blanket the hillside, attracting huge numbers of tourists.
