Marina Erakovic of New Zealand claimed the women's singles title at the Beijing International Tennis Challenge on Sunday, easing past error-prone Alla Kudryavtseva 6-2, 6-1.

Erakovic bagged US$7,000?of prize money in her second trip to China at the 50,000 dollars ITF Circuit tournament after beating the fourth-seeded Russian in 75 minutes.

"I am very happy. The score, 6-2, 6-1 is really comfortable for me," said the unheralded Erakovic. "She (Kudryavtseva) is really good, but I think she is a little angry with herself."

Erakovic broke Kudryavtseva in the fourth game after squandering nine game points. She won the first set as Kudryavtseva committed double faults in the eighth game.

The second set opened after Kudryavtseva was messaged on the back of her left thigh. Erakovic broke her opponent in the fourth and sixth games and wrapped up the victory on her first match point.
