Jilin Northeast Tigers edged Beijing 122-121 at home in the 33rd round of the Chinese Basketball Association(CBA) league on Wednesday.
Pickeet, a famous foreign player in Tigers kept his steady performance and contributed 37 scores. But, Morris of Beijing scored 40 points, becoming the top scorer in this round.
At the very beginning, Beijing played aggressively, and this offensive action thrilled Jilin Tiger by 27-19 in the first quarter. In the second period, Jilin tired to come up with Beijing, but failed 50-58 again in the half.
In the third and fourth period, Jilin Tigers started to organize a series of attacks, which shorted points' difference with Beijing by 107-107 successfully at the end of fourth period
During the overtime period, players in Jilin and Beijing fought fiercely, although Beijing have a precious three-point shot to win this game, Jilin is likely to be more fortunate to get more scores at last by 122-121.
Despite the win, Jilin have lost the opportunity to enter the playoffs, and Jilin will encounter Xinjiang in the last game of the regular season on Friday.
