Lowly rated South African club football team AmaZulu go into Saturday night's Nedbank Cup semifinal match in Durban hoping to score an upset against the wealthier, more fancied Mamelodi Sundowns.

AmaZulu striker Ayanda Dlamini told Football 365 on Friday he is aware that Mamelodi Sundowns will be favorites, but pointed out that his side have nothing to lose.

Hosts AmaZulu have three players on suspension: Marc van Heerden, skipper Pere Ariweriyai and Warren Bishop. That is the only worrying factor for Dlamini.

"It is just natural that the Sundowns supporters will expect their team to beat us, because they beat Orlando Pirates so convincingly in the quarterfinals and to be honest missing those three guys means we are definitely the underdogs in this game," he told Football365.

However, the 25-year-old admits it will be disappointing to lose a third South African semi-final in one season. "I know we are the underdogs, but imagine losing for the third time in a semifinal in one season, that can't be good," Dlamini added.

Sundowns, however, are not bothered by their favourites tag and simply want to lift the trophy at Soccer City come May 22.

Defender Luvhengo Mungomeni told Football 365: "Preparations for the game are going very we want to win the cup and nothing else is our minds. As players we want to reward the club for their continued support over the year good or bad situations."

Mabhuti Khenyeza and Elias Pelembe. will be missing for Sundowns through suspension.

Key players Matthew Booth, Katlego Mphela, Siboniso Gaxa, Franklin Cale and Surprise Moriri are all on duty with South Africa's nationa team preparinf for the FIFA World Cup in South Africa next month.
