The New Jersey Nets was edged by the host Minnesota Wolves 95-93 during the NBA regular season on Wednesday though Chinese player Yi Jianlian scored 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Nets.

The Nets had the advantage for most of the game and the Wolves trailed by 16 points with less than seven minutes to play in the last quarter.

Then Jonny Flynn, a rookie from Syracuse, became the savior for the Wolves, scoring 13 points of his 18 points in the last quarter to help erase a 19-point deficit. Damien Wilkins converted a putback of a miss shot from Flynn at the buzzer for the Wolves.

Brook Lopez had 27 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks for the Nets. But he did not score in the final period, and Al Jefferson blocked his shot with 25 seconds to go. Devin Harris just got 14 points on 4-for-13 shooting to go with 8 assists.

The Nets lost its opener and will challenge the Orlando Magic on Saturday.
