Norwegian massacre brutal response to immigration

For most of us, our first reaction to the senseless killing of 93 people in Norway was total incomprehension that such a thing could happen – especially in a "quiet" and "stable" country like Norway.

Our other instant reaction was that it was another example of Muslim fundamentalist terrorism – a fairly predictable kneejerk response since we sat before our television sets watching the carnage of 9/11.
For once, it was a Christian fundamentalist – not a Muslim – seeking to right the world's wrongs with indiscriminate killing.
Anders Behring Breivik has already offered some explanation, and he will have his day in court when he will presumably offer further justification for the wholesale murder.
Already, he has indicated that he killed to spark a "revolution" against "multiculturalism," which he believes is undermining Europe's heritage.
His action is not an isolated case. If we trawl the news archives, we will find repeated examples around the world where people have suddenly decided "enough is enough" and run amok with guns, knives or bombs.
Some time ago, there were several cases in China where assailants armed with knives chose to avenge their grievances against society by killing young children at kindergartens and primary schools.
How such slaughter of innocents can help right wrongs has never been clearly explained. It is almost certainly nothing more than a fantasy of a diseased mind.
In the Breivik case, there is likely to be much discussion on the role immigration is playing in provoking violent outrage.
