中國競爭力升至全球十七

據(jù)新華社報道,中國社科院周一發(fā)布2010《國家競爭力藍皮書——中國國家競爭力報告》,中國國家競爭力列世界第17位,比1990年上升56位。中國近20年的經(jīng)濟增長是靠消耗資源和擴大投資,尤其是房地產(chǎn)業(yè)膨脹發(fā)展。中國力爭2020年進入G20五強,2050年成為僅次于美國的世界第二強國。

五成海歸月薪不足5000元

據(jù)《法制晚報》報道,中國首份《海歸就業(yè)力調(diào)查》顯示:近五成海歸的薪酬在5000元以內(nèi);其中近三成處于“小白領”水平,在3000-5000元之間,所占比例最高。近八成調(diào)查者3個月內(nèi)就能找到滿意的工作,他們的海外經(jīng)歷帶來的“國際化視野”為其就業(yè)增加了砝碼。

三峽今上演175米“成人禮”

據(jù)新華社報道,周二上午9點,長江三峽水庫首次達到最高蓄水位。中國長江三峽集團公司董事長曹廣晶稱,175米蓄水這一里程碑的時刻標志著三峽工程的防洪、發(fā)電、航運等功能達到設計要求,其巨大綜合效益將得到充分發(fā)揮。這個新高度并不意味著此工程的全面勝利,還將面臨更多的檢驗和挑戰(zhàn)。

手機可透支 停機成歷史

據(jù)《遼寧日報》報道,中國移動沈陽分公司將考慮在用戶欠費時,延長用戶手機在網(wǎng)時間。客戶按照信用等級,享有不同的透支額度,最高可達2000元。目前手機用戶一旦欠費就會停機。沈陽的聯(lián)通和電信也準備開展類似業(yè)務,不過僅限于金牌客戶。

朝影片緬懷中國志愿軍

據(jù)新華社報道,朝鮮電影《兄弟情》周一首映,以紀念中國人民志愿軍入朝參戰(zhàn)60周年。影片講述了一名中國志愿軍軍人奮戰(zhàn)朝鮮戰(zhàn)場的故事。影片長90分鐘,是由朝鮮國家電影委員會在最高領導人金正日的倡議下制作的。朝鮮國家電影委員會現(xiàn)今正在籌備與中方聯(lián)手制作首部影片。

China's economic growth in the past 20 years came from resource consumption and large investments, especially the mass development of the real estate industry. China should strive to become one of the top five G-20 countries by 2020 and to rank second after the US by 2050.

International travel good for resumes

Half of workers in China who have spent time abroad now make less than 5,000 yuan a month, according to the first employment survey of Chinese travelers, Legal Evening News reports. 30 percent earn between 3,000 and 5,000 yuan a month, mostly in white-collar jobs. 80 percent said they found a decent position within three months. Their international vision from their overseas experiences added value to their resumes.

Dam water reaches full capacity

The water level at the Three Gorges Dam reached its planned highest mark at 9 am Tuesday, Xinhua reports. The 175-meter mark, "a milestone in the construction of the gigantic reservoir," will enable the project to fulfill its functions of flood control, power generation, navigation and water diversion, said Cao Guangjing, chairman of the China Three Gorges Project Corporation (CTGPC), the developer of the project. The new level does not mean complete success for the project. It does, however, allow for testing of various issues.

Credit extension for mobile phones

China Mobile (Shenyang) Company may start extending limited credit when prepaid phones run out of money, the Liaoning Daily reports. Customers are eligible for a certain amount of credit based on their credit category. The maximum is 2,000 yuan. Currently, mobile phones simply lose service after running out of credit. China Unicom and China Telecom plan to launch similar services in Shenyang but only for their VIP customers.

N. Korean film honors Chinese fighter

Brotherhood, a North Korean film about a member of the Chinese People's Volunteers who fought in the Korean War, premiered on Monday to mark the 60th anniversary of the CPV's entry into the war, Xinhua reports. The 90-minute film was produced by the North Korean National Film Commission at the proposal of top leader Kim Jong-il. The National Film Commission is now preparing for the first film to be jointly produced by North Korea and China.
