China and the United States agreed on institutionalizing bilateral economic talks between agencies of both countries, according to a fact sheet issued on Wednesday.

The agreement came out of the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue Economic Track in Washington from July 27 to 28, co-chaired by Vice Premier Wang Qishan and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner.

More inter-agency talks are aimed at "jointly addressing the challenges posed by the international financial crisis, promoting economic and financial stability in both countries, and advancing the development of bilateral economic relations," said the fact sheet.

These talks will cover wide-ranging fields of bank, labor, health, agriculture, post, information, transportation, among others.

Specifically, both nations' banking supervisors will hold conference on a regular basis.

The U.S. Department of Labor and China's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security will carry on talks under the framework of existing Letters of Understanding.

Both nations will hold regular exchanges in domestic health and medical system reforms on the basis of on-going multi-level and multi-stakeholder health care cooperation.

China and the United States will strengthen cooperation in agriculture, continue to work on integrative and traditional Chinese medicine.

Both nations will stage an investment forum, a policy consultation on communications and information, a transportation forum and a symposium on postal reform and express delivery services.
