The Islamic Communication and Propaganda Committee in Tehran province on Tuesday called for an anti-tempest rally in Tehran's Vali Asr Square, the official IRNA news agency reported.
In a statement, the committee called on the Iranians who have taken part in last week's presidential election to participate in the rally slated for 16:00 local time (1230 GMT), IRNA said.
The enemies and ill-wishers of the Islamic revolution who are blind to Iran's development are misusing the rallies of some candidates, destroying public property and attacking military centers including the police with weapons, the statement said.
Now it is the responsibility of all the alert Iranian people to foil their plots, it added.
On Monday, tens of thousands of people staged a rally to support the defeated presidential candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi.
Mehdi Karroubi, another defeated candidate, was seen along with Mousavi in the mass rally that has been declared "illegal" by the authorities, local satellite Press TV said.
On Sunday, Mousavi made an appeal to his supporters to stage a rally on Monday to hear his words to "avoid any violation," a statement posted on his website said.
Iran's supreme leader has urged supporters of both the winner and the defeated candidates to avoid provocative behavior.
On Saturday afternoon, Iran's Interior Minister Sadeq Mahsouli said the incumbent President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won 62.63 percent of the total ballots during Friday's vote, while Mousavi got 33.75 percent.
After the official declaration, Mousavi protested "strongly" in a statement the "obvious" violations in Iran's presidential election.
