Temporary Anti-dumping Measures on Imported Food Additive
Adjust font size:

China announced Thursday it would take temporary anti-dumping measures against imported nucleotide-type food additive from Japan and Republic of Korea (ROK).

China's Ministry of Commerce said in an announcement that it will collect cash deposits from importers of nucleotide-type food additive as from Thursday.

The food additives involved in the case include three types, namely, Disodium 5'-Inosinate, Disodium 5'-Guanylate and Disodium 5'-Ribonucleotide. They can be used in producing soy sauce and monosodium glutamate.

The ministry launched the anti-dumping investigation on November 12, 2004. After the investigation, the ministry decided those imported products constitute dumping, with a scope ranging from 25 percent to 144 percent.
