A Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) air force delegation arrived in Beijing Tuesday to attend an international forum to mark the 60th founding anniversary of the air force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA).

The delegation, led by DPRK's deputy air force commander Kim Kwang-su, will be joined in the next three days by counterparts from 33 other countries, including the United States, Russia, Japan, Brazil, Pakistan, and the Republic of Korea, said Senior Colonel Xin Guo of the PLA air force.

Air force leaders from 23 countries are expected to speak at the forum, which aimed to promote exchanges between air forces and to build mutual trust, Xin said.

China will celebrate the 60th founding anniversary of its air force on Nov. 11.

The PLA air force is expected to put its most advanced warplanes on display in the suburbs of Beijing as part of the celebrations. All the aircraft to be exhibited, including Kongjing-2000 Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEWC) aircraft, J-11 fighters, H-6 bomber jets, and HQ-9 surface-to-air missiles, were made in China.
