Chinese domestic internet service providers are to expand their email services following Yahoo and Google's expansion, crienglish.com reported Monday.
The country's number one portal Sina has launched free email services that have inboxes with 100 megabytes of space.
The new email service provides verbal and face-to-face tools as well as vivid selective interfaces.
Another portal Netease is also providing up to 260 megabytes of room in its inboxes.
Other mainstream portals like Sohu, 21cn, and Tom.com are keeping a close eye on developments, and have not taken any action so far.
