Construction starts Friday on the Fenglin Life Science Park in Xuhui District. The medical service and research and development center, together with the pharmacy industry cluster in Zhangjiang, Pudong, as well as the Shanghai International Medical Park in Nanhui, will jointly contribute to Shanghai's step toward a top medical treatment center in Asia, officials said.
After completion, the life science park will consist of: a life science R&D center, taking advantage of the medical educational and research in the area, the center will focus on biology reagent, facility research; a conference center which will hold global medical forum; a cluster of hospitals and first aid center; and a life science complex service center.
A first batch of 14 research projects, including apparatus replant, aviation emergence treatment and life science were set up on yesterday's groundbreaking ceremony.
