GDP Expected to Exceed 10 Trillion Yuan
China's economy continues to keep fast and stable growth since this year, with a GDP amount of over 10 trillion yuan predicted. Compared with the early 1980s, China has made a marvelous stride, according to Xu Xianchun, director of National Economic Accounting Department under the State Statistics Bureau (NBS).

China had kept the fastest economic growth in the world irrespective of an adverse global economic environment, which is regarded a miracle by international community.

Expansion of the economy aggregate has greatly raised China's status in international community, ranking the country's economy aggregate in the 6th place in the world and as expected, the country will by its economic strength move into the second place superseding Japan by the mid 21st century. ,

Experts generally deem that China's economic growth is better than expected this year, it is predicted that it will continue to keep on rise.

Xiao Zhuoji, China's economist said that China would keep a 7percent growth or a greater rate.

In spite of unexpected challenges in the coming 3 to 5 years, the Chinese economy will carry on with a growth rate to last 30 years or a longer time, said a scholar in Peking University.

According to UN's Global Investment Report for 2001, China's foreign investment will keep on increase regardless of a cut amount of direct investment abroad. China has maintained its No. 1 place absorbing foreign investment among the developing countries.
