Mubarak Urges to Maintain Stability in Iraq
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak Thursday underlined efforts to bring about stability in Iraq and the quick establishment of institutions to run the oil-rich country, reported the official MENA news agency.

Speaking to reporters after his meeting with visiting Saudi Foreign Minister Saud Al-Faisal in Cairo, Mubarak called on the United States and Britain to work as fast as they can to stabilize the situation in Iraq in a way to avoid anarchy with the necessity of forming a transitional government.

Mubarak said he did not expect the sudden collapse that took place in Iraq, neither did the United States or Britain.

He also stressed the need to activate the road map plan in a bid to solve the Middle East problem.
