| 18 Children Killed in Car Bomb Attack in Western Iraq |

A total of 18 children were killed Tuesday in a car bomb attack in a football field in al-Warrar neighborhood in Ramadi City, some 100 km west of Baghdad, the state television reported. A car parked in a football field detonated suddenly when a group of children were playing football, the report said. Violence rages in Iraq as sectarian killings, car bombings and roadside bombs cause dozens of Iraqi casualties daily. (Xinhua News Agency February 28, 2007) |
