China's National Museum Reopens
Cultural life in Beijing is getting back to normal this week with the full resumption of indoor exhibitions in the city. One of the most noteworthy events is the reopening of China's National Museum Monday morning.

The National Museum was officially launched in early February, combining the collections of the former museums of the Chinese Revolution and Chinese History.

To welcome visitors returning after the SARS threat, the museum is staging the first exhibition, an elaborate one of cultural relics from the Tang Dynasty -- China's most prosperous feudal reign.

To many people who enjoy the tranquility of exhibition halls, a trip back in time is especially soothing and life-reaffirming at this particular time. And more wonderful programs are scheduled for the second half of the year.
