A Sweeping Victory in the Fight Against Corruption

Corruption is what the people resent most; and it is the greatest threat to our Party. Fighting corruption requires resolve and perseverance, and it should be an on-going process with no end point. Not only should we confront corruption’s symptoms, we must also tackle its root causes. Only by promoting integrity and ethical conduct among officials and building a clean government and a clean political environment, can we break the cycle of corruption and ensure long-term stability of our Party and our country.

As stated in the report to the 19th CPC National Congress, the fight against corruption remains an uphill battle, and we must not waver in our resolve to build on the overwhelming momentum and secure a sweeping victory. This fight knows no bounds, and will leave no ground uncovered and show no mercy. Effective constraints, tough measures and long-term deterrence are essential in this connection, in order to target both those who take bribes and those who offer them, and prevent the emergence of special interests within the Party.

Regular disciplinary inspections will be undertaken by Party committees at the municipal or county level in an intensified effort to address corruption that occurs on the doorstep of local residents. Wherever offenders flee, they will be brought back to justice. A national anti-corruption bill is under consideration, and a corruption reporting platform is being developed to allow cases to be reported to both disciplinary inspection commissions and oversight agencies.

Deterrence against corruption will be strengthened, and the institutional cage fortified, to provide a shield against corruption temptation, and help create a political environment as clean as a pristine river.

反腐敗斗爭壓倒性勝利

在中國，人民群眾最痛恨腐敗現(xiàn)象，腐敗是中國共產(chǎn)黨面臨的最大威脅。只有以反腐敗永遠在路上的堅韌和執(zhí)著，深化標本兼治，保證干部清正、政府清廉、政治清明，才能跳出歷史周期率，確保黨和國家長治久安。當前，反腐敗斗爭形勢依然嚴峻復(fù)雜，鞏固壓倒性態(tài)勢、奪取壓倒性勝利的決心必須堅如磐石。中共十九大報告指出，堅持無禁區(qū)、全覆蓋、零容忍，堅持重遏制、強高壓、長震懾，堅持受賄行賄一起查，堅決防止黨內(nèi)形成利益集團；在市縣黨委建立巡察制度，加大整治群眾身邊腐敗問題力度；不管腐敗分子逃到哪里，都要緝拿歸案、繩之以法；推進反腐敗國家立法，建設(shè)覆蓋紀檢監(jiān)察系統(tǒng)的檢舉舉報平臺；強化不敢腐的震懾，扎牢不能腐的籠子，增強不想腐的自覺，通過不懈努力換來海晏河清、朗朗乾坤。
