Ancient Kiln Ruins Discovered in Jiangxi

Chinese archaeologists have discovered the ruins of a kiln dating back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907) in Huichang County in Jiangxi Province.

The ruins measure some 260 meters by 60 meters.

According to the archaeologists, four piles of porcelain fragments totaling 45,000 cubic meters were discovered in the ruins.

The experts have concluded that the items were made in the middle and late Tang Dynasty.

The discovery will provide valuable clues to chinaware making in that period.
