A symphony-accompanied opera aria concert was stage Saturday night at the Great Hall of the People in China's capital.
Li Changchun, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Liu Yunshan, head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, watched the performance.
The concert featured arias selected from "Sister Jiang," a Chinese opera to honor a woman martyr who sacrificed her life to the founding of New China, which moved and educated generations ofthe Chinese people.
