A Chinese computer equipment company has recently produced its one-millionth laser printer, becoming the first Chinese information technology company to do so.
Located in Fujian Province, east China, Fujian Star Computer Company last Friday manufactured its one-millionth printer Superlaser 3020.
Established two decades ago, the company has two printer manufacturing centers capable of producing 250,000 units and half a million units each year.
The printers manufactured by the company are mainly for corporate use, involving the financial, insurance, post and telecommunications sectors.
Fujian Star is the second local IT company after computer giant Legend whose output of major IT products has topped one-million unit level.
Legend, the biggest personal computer in China, produced its one-millionth personal computer in 1998.
