Tourist routes see sharp drop in price

The cost for domestic tourist trips will drop by about 30 percent on Thursday, after climbing to a peak during the past three days of?China's golden holiday week, the Beijing Morning Post reported.

As learned from many renowned domestic tourist agencies, top national tourist sites like Jiuzhaigou, Lijiang and Zhangjiajie see a big decline in cost, by as much as 30 percent, starting from Thursday.

 

At the same time, the cost for travelling abroad is also set to go down. Sources with Xiecheng Travel, which provides tourism service online, revealed that the cost for trips to Japan and South Korea will reduce as much as 1,000 yuan, or about US$133, as of October 4.

 

Popular tourist sites from October 4 to 7 are still fully booked by visitors during the latter part of the golden week, the report added.
