Chinese shares higher at midday Monday

BEIJING, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- China's major stock indices were higher in the morning session on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.07 percent to 2,907.33 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index went up 0.37 percent to 8,584.96 points at midday. Enditem
