Story of patient in DRC

I took part in a play for World Aids Day in 2005. We wanted to show what happens when a child tells his mother he's HIV-positive and then he's driven out.

I am involved in theatre so that I can pass on information to others. To tell them that even if they have HIV, they can still almost live like before. Because there are ARVs.

I'd like to say to my brothers and sisters that they can stop being scared. They must realise that Aids is like any other chronic disease and there are centres that offer treatment. [? Denise/MSF]
