China expects its annual refined oil output to reach 310 million tonnes by 2015, Zhang Guobao, head of the State Energy Administration, said Thursday in Beijing.

China will add about 100 million tonnes to its oil refining capacity during the 12th Five-Year Program which runs from 2011 to 2015, said Zhang, who is also vice director of the National Development and Reform Commission, while speaking at a national energy conference.

Further, China will strengthen its domestic oil exploration and production over the next five years to produce 200 million tonnes of crude oil annually, he said.

Also, China will accelerate the construction of oil and gas pipelines over the next five years as pipelines are extended to reach 140,000 kilometers by 2015.

Zhang forecast China's oil output may hit 190 million tonnes this year, while gas production will exceed 100 billion cubic meters.
