Military Disciplinary Rules Set Out
Adjust font size:

To increase discipline and fight corruption in troops, the Central Military Commission recently set out new disciplinary regulations for the armed forces, the PLA Daily reported yesterday.

Severe penalties will also be levied against those who set up parties or organizations that are prohibited by military regulations.

The provisions toughen punishment for repeat offending. Clear penalties are set out for offenders involved in corruption relating to military project construction, the purchase of materials, treatment of out-of-service equipment, sales and rent of military real estate, or the lending of military vehicles and plates.

The regulations clarify punishment for embezzling public funds and setting up illegal accounts.

Punishment will be given to those in authority who incite people in their charge to violate their duties.
